But things are different for many users, especially for some computer beginners, they are not familiar with it, though this is a very basic but important operation. If you're one of them, this tip will help.

First, you’d know what you can sync and what you can’t. The following list is the syncable contents according to Apple official web site.

What you can sync

  • Applications
  • Audio content -- music, podcasts, audiobooks, and iTunes U content
  • Bookmarks
  • Books
  • Contacts -- names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, and so on
  • Calendars -- appointments and events
  • Movies and TV shows
  • Photos
  • Notes
  • Documents (File Sharing apps only)
  • Ringtones

So if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, and there are many things in your iTunes library, you may make syncing between them from time to time or share with your family and friends easily. And then how to sync the content in your iPhone or iPod Touch with your iTunes on Mac? Follow the following steps?

How to Sync:
1. Download and install the latest version of iTunes on your Mac. (Generally, iTunes is defaulted-installed on Mac, and then you can ignore this step in this case.)
2. Open iTunes
3. Connect your device to your computer using the included USB cable and your devices will be recognized automatically. Select it in iTunes under Devices on the left-hand side.
