How to convert video and transfer it to iPhone 4 with Simple Steps on Mac

The iPhone 4 is a superb multi-touch screen smartphone designed by Apple.  As a result most iPhone 4 users like to watch movies or videos on this beautiful handset. However, according to iPhone's official page, there are many technical specifications as follows for iPhone 4 video file:

iPhone 4 supported Video formats:
H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;
Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format

As seen above, iPhone 4 just supports a limited of video formats like H.264 video up to 720p, MPEG-4 video up to 640X480, Motion JPEG up to 1280x 720. For this reason, if you have an iPhone and want to play movies on it, you need to convert the video first. Follow below steps to get iPhone 4 playable videos.

Step 1. Need a video converter

Step 2. Add Video file

Step 5: import video into iTunes
Launch iTunes, go to menu bar iTunes > File > Add File to Library to import target movie from output folder into iTunes; or just drag and drop the movie into iTunes.

Step 6: transfer video to iPhone
Connect the iPhone to your computer using the included USB cable and select it in iTunes under Devices on the left-hand side. There are many ways to transfer converted video to iPhone through iTunes.



1) Press the “Sync button” under Summary tab. This will sync the videos as well as other items like music, TV shows, podcasts, audio book, photos and applications;



2) Under Movies tab, select Sync movies > All movies, and press Sync button;
3) Under Movies tab, select Sync movies > Selected movies, choose the video in the panel, and press Sync button.

After a while, the sync will be complete. Then check your iPhone and enjoy the video.
